The management of the common is the responsibility of the Trustees and is regulated in accordance with the scheme drawn up by the Charity Commisioners for England and Wales. There are 9 elected trustees and they are appointed at the annual general meeting. At the end of the meeting one third (or the number nearest to one third) of the elected trustees must retire by rotation from office but may be eligible for re-election.
